Misfits Gone Wild

Misfits Gone Wild

This tutorial was written by Brunette on March 22nd 2010. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
Do not copy and paste my tutorials or claim as your own you may link to them for group challenges.

You'll need a tube of choice I am using the fantastic work of Ismael Rac you can purchase a license to use his art AMI. I am using a different version of this tube that has been made exclusively for Creative Misfits Forum.
Collab Templates by Stormy and Rose over at Creative Misfits Creations.
Font of choice I am using Inspiration.
Mask of choice.
I used VanDerLee - Unplugged X
Alien Skin Xenofex 2 Constellation
A kit of choice I am using a rockin kit from Kristin (Toxic Desirez) at Scraps with Attitude called Punk Rock.

Let's get started!

Delete the copyright layer and the hide the background layer or delete it depending on if you want your tag with a white background or not.
Re-size the canvas if you don't think you have enough room to work you can always re-size it again before we're all done.

Next select the Pink Rectangle layer selections>select all>float>defloat copy and paste a paper from the kit one that would go with your tube or theme of the tag then selections>invert and delete. Hide or delete the pink rectangle layer.

I changed the colors of the sqaures in the middle to black by selecting each one like we did in the previous step but flood fill them with black or color of choice. I pasted parts of my tube in those squares and changed the blend mode to luminance legacy. I used VanDerLee Unplugged X Interlace on each part of the tube once in the square. Now I selected the square layer again one my one I added a white rectangle below the black and added noise. Selections>select all>float>defloat>modify>expand 2 flood fill with white move below the square layer and add noise, I used Uniform checked, monochrome checked and the percentage at 50. Repeat the for the remaining sqaure layers. Hide or delete the original square layers.

Select the gradient circle layer selections>select all>float>defloat copy and paste a part of your tube then selections>invert and delete I changed the blend mode to luminance legacy make sure its below the black circle fram layer but about the gradient layer. Repeat for the other gradient circle layer.

Select the black square layer and add sparkles I used Xenofex 2 Constellation the following settings
Click the pics for a bigger view of the settings.

I changed the color of the dotted lines you can if you want to or leave them as they are.

I added a ribbon and a few other elements from the kit re-sizing them so they looked right and adding drop shadows.

Select the background layer on your palette open a paper of choice copy and paste as a new layer then apply a mask of choice re-size your mask so it fits nicely.

Copy and paste your tube then duplicate it. On the duplicate layer adjust>blur>gaussian blur set at 2.00 then change the blend mode to soft light and add a drop shadow to your orginal tube layer.

Finally in a font of choice add your name in a color of choice. I used black then added a white layer under with noise, to do this write out your text then selections>select all>float>defloat>modify expand by 2.00 add a new layer flood fill with white move it below the black text layer. Add the same noise settings as earlier along with a drop shadow of choice.

Add your copyright and license number if applicable save as png or jpeg whichever you prefer and we're done!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow.
